About the event
Every fall, volunteers help get the young trees ready for the winter with mulching, weed whacking, trimming, and whatever else the trees need. Anyone can help. Volunteers from 2 to 82 years old have helped. Arrive at the Owen Sound Hospital around 9 am or a little later if you can't make it that early on a Saturday. If you have them, bring weed whackers but it's not necessary. Do try to bring gardening type gloves. Dress for the weather. Bring water to drink although sometimes we have coffee. Parking is off the hospital laneways and free for the tree crew. As we work in different areas of the hospital grounds, watch social media notifictions for location or just look for a bunch of cars parked along the laneway when you arrive.
